French Natural Restaurant

Made by our chef Mashiro Tanabe, the “French Natural” menu is composed of local, organic vegetables and ingredients grown in our Tobira farms with no use of chemicals. We follow the “Masuda Fuji” philosophy while making dishes under this category, and this is a way of life that provides guidance to help us make the right choices in nutrition, lifestyle, and activity. One would translate it as “you become what you eat”, words that push for the consumption of local, seasonal foods with immense benefits to the body, mind, and our planet.

At first glance, you might think our ingredients from the Shinshu region that we use are simple. The ingredients are packed with nutrients as they are grown by Utsukushigahara, known to be full of natural benefits you might not come across in the city. Over the years we have evolved the natural taste of these ingredients through our gastronomy, so come and have a bite of our unique menus.

Chef Tanabe offers a unique dish, which comes as an exhibition of local products sourced from the Shinshu region. You might say this is the perfect reflection of the seasons of Matsumoto, which are captured in this menu that contains delicious dishes that are prepared so well they will stimulate your 5 senses.

This menu borrows from the “Shinshu Wagyu” with a few additions by our chef to make it more refined. The result is a sumptuous accent that includes caviar with mushroom terrine, which is prepared by chef Tanabe. Also accompanying the dishes is fresh fish, and if you are taking meat it’s served with truffle slices. Our chef helps you to choose the perfect ingredients to achieve an authentic taste. This is the perfect dish to share with people you love.

The menu includes the Japanese wagyu beef from Nagano, which comes from the Shinshu region. It gives you a full standard meal and you will enjoy the quality meat from animals bred by JA Shinshu, our partner supplier of beef.

Experts advise that you could maintain good health by adopting dishes that are made from seasonal products. These are items you could consume without moderation and you will not need to add refined dairy products or sugar. Our chef Tanabe is a certified Kushi Macrobiotic and he prepares the macrobiotic dish whose composition is meant to guard your health while giving you the satisfaction you desire to achieve. It will remain in your memories.

Start your day in style at Myojinkan. You can choose one of our two breakfasts. The “French natural” is a western breakfast prepared with a personal touch for a gentle awakening. This breakfast highlights Shinshu salmon served with escabeche sauce; it also includes Spanish omelet and some homemade ham.
